Set in the Morvan National Park, known for a diversity of landscapes, Saulieu is a perfect place for outdoor activities such as cycling, horse riding, fishing, walking and golfing (in one of the 8 golf courses in the area). The town itself offers a wide range of amenities including schools, shops, bakeries, restaurants, doctors and hospitals. Every Saturday morning there is a street market on the main square with amongst other things, local ham and wines.
